"KATRINA"
ANIMAL ADOPTIONS

Hurricane Katrina will go down in history as the greatest pet disaster this country has ever seen. Over 100,000 animals were stranded because authorities wouldn't allow pets to be evacuated with their owners. If you wanted to get on the boat or bus, you had to leave your pets behind.

Sadly, almost 2 years later, many "unclaimed" animals, who somehow managed not to starve to death, are still sitting in cages in New Orleans, waiting for someone to adopt them.

That's why Comic Relief is joining forces with the El Dorado County Animal Shelter to help find homes for them in Lake Tahoe, California. We're asking YOU, the public, to find it in your heart to adopt them.
