With the help of “The Voice” coaches John Legend, Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire, Dan + Shay and host Carson Daly, NBC will celebrate Red Nose Day’s first decade in the U.S. with the one-hour special “Red Nose Day: Cheers to Ten Years,” airing Thursday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It also airs next day on Peacock.
The star-studded show will look back at the hilarious, inspirational and unforgettable moments of NBC’s Red Nose Day programming and the transformative impact of the campaign’s first 10 years.
The funniest skits from past Red Nose Days will include Coldplay’s legendary “Game of Thrones: The Musical,” basketball with Paul Rudd and Blake Griffin, and the hugely popular short film “Red Nose Day Actually,” reuniting writer-director Richard Curtis and the all-star cast of his beloved film “Love Actually.”
The special will also include stories that highlight the impact of donations to Red Nose Day and how they help children across the U.S. and around the world. A rebroadcast of the Red Nose Day episode of “The Wall” will follow the special at 9 p.m.
Red Nose Day, the annual fundraising campaign by Comic Relief US to help end child poverty, returns for its 10th year on May 23. Known for its iconic Red Nose and using the power of entertainment to drive social change, Red Nose Day is about people coming together to have fun, raise money, and change lives.
Celebrating a decade of life-changing impact, Red Nose Day has raised more than $370 million since it began in the U.S. in 2015, positively impacting more than 35 million children and young people to date. The funds raised directly support programs that keep children safe, healthy, educated, and empowered.
