How We Make It Happen

Turning moments
into momentum

We use pop culture and humor to inspire people to help others, creating events large — perhaps you've heard of Red Nose Day? — and small that bring us together to create change.

Setting up the next generation for success

We address the root causes of poverty, including food insecurity, gaps in the education system, access to housing and healthcare, so children and families have the power to determine their own future.

Lifting communities
from within

We invest in 48+ trailblazing organizations – from grassroots groups to global changemakers – working on the ground to ensure that children and families get the services they need, here in the U.S. and around the world.

Our STRATEGY

What guides our work

Poverty is nearly impossible to escape on one’s own. Our approach focuses on four interconnected areas that  build stronger individuals and communities.

Keeping Children & Youth Safe

Every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment to grow. By investing in programs in disaster response, those working with children on the move, and by fostering youth-led decision-making, we empower children and young people, amplify their voices, and help build stronger communities.

Building Healthy Foundations

Ensuring kids are healthy is about more than preventing and curing diseases; it is also about ensuring children, families, and communities thrive. We invest in initiatives that increase equitable access to quality healthcare, good nutrition, and safe, healthy spaces to live, work, and play, promoting overall well-being and healthier communities.

Powering Education

All children and young people should have access to the tools and building blocks for a bright future. We invest in early education, STEAM, college prep, and workforce readiness programs to empower the next generation.

Catalyzing Empowerment

Provided with the necessary skills and opportunities to reach their potential, young people can be a driving force for social change. We invest in empowerment programs that support leadership development, create economic opportunities, and involve young people in decision-making on issues affecting them.

  • Raising Healthy Children

Quality medical care is essential for children to grow up strong. We work to improve all aspects of healthcare – from pre- and postnatal care to nutrition and disease prevention.

  • Keeping Children Safe

No matter where they are in the world, children should live freely and safely. We help children find safe places to stay when disaster or violence threaten their homes.

  • Improving Education Access

We provide learning opportunities, including early childhood education, STEAM learning, vocational training and college prep, so children are prepared to thrive in adulthood.

    Empowering Future Leaders

We teach children and young adults leadership and decision-making skills so they’re able to make the most of opportunities and realize their dreams.
