It was a day full of laughs, surprises, and many, many hot dogs consumed, all for a good cause.
The first Comic Relief Family Fest, presented in partnership with Scholastic and sponsored by Target, included a magic and science show, crafts, and a kid-friendly improv performance from Second City. Plus, every kid got to take home a goody bag with a copy of Dog Man: Big Jim Believes, the upcoming graphic novel from Dav Pilkey’s beloved Dog Man series.
It was also a day focused on giving back, with every ticket sold going to support Comic Relief’s mission to end childhood poverty. Families also packed care kits to help make the holidays a little brighter for young people facing homelessness.
