Watch: quality early education helps parents and kids thrive
Mom Charlee shares how a comprehensive pre-k program unlocked her daughter's potential

Charlee’s daughter Io was born 17 weeks early and faced a host of developmental challenges that required extra support. Finding her the level of quality childcare that she required was a challenge.

Educare DC, one of the many incredible programs you empower when you give to Comic Relief, was there to provide the support for Charlee and Io when they needed it most. And it’s not just Charlee and Io who benefit from programs like this: Research shows that when kids are surrounded by strong support systems in early childhood, they have a higher chance of graduating, a lower chance of incarceration, and better health as adults.

Watch Charlee and Io's story:

Your support ensures so many more kids can thrive and parents can build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
